Among Shattered Glass

So Contagious

It's time for another glimpse into Nicole's past...so hang on, cause this one is deep!

Yes! Baby pictures! Okay, I especially like this picture for a couple of reasons. First, check out my sweet ride. Pink wagon? You know it...and no I didn't take it off of any sweet jumps...too bad! Secondly, I love that fact that I'm completely chillin' with my teddy bear! Third, I'm wearing those footsie things that I absolutely hated! Man...I had life made! When I look at this picture, I often wonder, what was I thinking at this very moment? Maybe I was tired, or hungry, or maybe I was comtemplating some deep philosophical idea. Either way, I think that I was completely content and relaxed. Yeah, I know, it's hard to think of me as relaxed, but this picture is living proof that it's possible for me not to be so up-tight. Okay, so now another question...what is one of your favorite childhood memories? Mine...hmm, I think it was just playing outside and enjoying every ounce of sunlight I could squeeze out of the day. Your turn!

    I bet you were thinking:

:::sigh::: can this thing go any slower? Come'n dad, faster! faster!

I think my favorite childhood memory is when I would wait by the window for my dad to get home from work. When I was really little, he drove a delivery truck for Tom's which was a vending machine company. When he got home, he would give my sister and me each a candy bar and then he would take us for a ride in his big white delivery truck. I can still remember the smell of it, although it's really hard to describe. A mix of chocolate and cardboard boxes I guess. haha. It was like, 18 years ago but I can remember the smell as though I were sitting in it right now. We would sit on the boxes of candy and my dad would drive around the block and we'd beg him to play the "drunk driver game" where he would swerve all over the road (there were no other cars, of course.) My sister and I would errupt in giggles and beg him to go around one more time. Ah, such innocent days. I didn't even know what drunk meant...

lol, the look on your face is like, "Back off or I will slap you in the face with this teddy bear... I'm tired." :)
Favorite childhood memory?? I'm not really sure 'cause there are so many, but when we lived in Wichita my friends and I used to ride our bikes around the huge suburb, neighborhood area (I mean... it was huge, like... huge, huge... think like all of Walnut in Rogers with houses all around it) and we would try to spy on people and pretend like we were investigators. We never saw anything, but we pretended we did. ANd we used to put love letters in this teenagers mailbox down the street, until he told us he would call the police because it was illegal. I don't know how he knew it was us... we were so sneaky! haha, j/k about being sneaky... we were like 7, we just thought we were. Oh, and I put rotten fruit in my neighbors mailbox because she was so mean to me... I don't know why that would be mean to her, she didn't get the mail, her parents did... but I didn't like them either. lol. Terra the terror.

Thank you Sarah! I'd have to agree, I wasn't a bad looking kid, well, right when I was born, I looked like a little monkey...no joke! I had so much hair on my head that they had to put in a barrette and it stuck straight up!! It was completely awesome & odd looking. The word verification are getting extremely long, but the blog spam is so much worse. You think you have a commnent from a loved one & bam! Blog spam...hopes and dreams gone!

Terra, you're probably right...I look pretty tired in that picture and we all know how I get when I'm tired. :P

at least you had hair when you were born! Apparently I was BALD, and according to my mother, UGLY. I kid you not. She actually told my granny that when I was born. My granny got on to her. I was pretty beat up looking, I will give her that... luckily I grew up and got hair.

Favorite childhood memory.... When I was really young, every Sunday in church I would lean over my mom's lap and ask her to 'tickle' my back. I absolutely LOVED that...

When I was a wee little one...my brother and sister and I would turn this yellow rocking chair upside-down and pretend it was a dungoun...sometimes though when you were trying to get out, it would fall back on your head and give you the biggest headache ever. Those were the days.
this is a fun game, lets play another!
You guys' memories are so sweet!

Oh, my favorite childhood memory would be hanging out with my big brother, in the woods... just climbing trees and chillin'. We had a great time. Things were so simple back then...
